Fighting Fascist Spain -- The Exhibits (FFSTE) Copyrights and Terms of Use

The FFSTE is a post-custodial open-source repository in which authors retain the copyright of their work. FFTE provides access under fair use to curated images of several US Hispanic periodicals and substantial scholarly discussion of their historical, cultural, and literary interest and significance. At present, FFSTE is featured in two repositories. The Recovering the US Hispanic Literary Heritage Digital Collections uses the content management system for online digital collections Omeka, and Fighting Fascist Spain –The Exhibits, employs a series of interlinked WIX blogs.

The FFSTE has thoroughly tried to identify and contact the rights holders of every image included in this project, where applicable. Given the educational intent of the project and the nature and scope of its usage, I believe it to be aligned with the principles of fair use as defined by US courts. If you hold the rights to an image on FFSTE and think that I have made an error leading to the misattribution or unauthorized use of a photo protected by copyright and does not fall under a copyright exception under US copyright laws, please notify Montse Feu.
